Adjoining Rooms Refurbishment
This project was a pleasure as I was working with clients that I had previously worked with and knew they would be very open to design suggestions.
There was nothing really wrong with the adjoining rooms but they had the potential to be much more inviting and my clients wanted them to be cosy and contemporary.
We decided to keep the beautiful, velvet curtains as they are really good quality and neutral enough to tie in with most schemes, I really like their simplicity.
They also asked to keep the central lighting.
The rooms before we began the project
Painting the walls a rich grey/green highlights their great art collection while also drawing the rooms in.
The garden is also much more visible against the new colour scheme.
We kept above the picture rail light to avoid a cave like look.
The "Scott" sofa is rich and vibrant
and extremely comfortable in the TV area
Painting the cream and wood cabinetry
silver/grey/green really brings them
up to date
The adjoining room with matching rug, lighting and curtains allows the rooms flow into each other for gatherings.
Rearranging art work can give it a new lease of life
