CLONTARF SNUG

This room had my clients stumped!

It was a runway between the hall and kitchen

with oversized furniture  and ineffective storage.

It needed a cohesive scheme to pull it all together and turn it into the snug they wanted to share in the evenings.

The first thing I addressed was the layout.

Then,  I designed a cabinet that could hide away the clutter and store fuel and my clients many cook books.

This was painted in the same colour as the walls to maximise the feeling of space.

A rich purple on the fireplace wall adds drama to the room and looks great with the red carpet and the

copper of the fireplace.

The room is cosier and feels bigger with the new, slimmer seating with wooden legs that further add to the sense of space
