A Fresh Start
This project was designed for a client who's brief was simply "a fresh start".
The Patrick Scott prints inherited from her father were the starting point.
Raw wood pendants, soft grey velvet and lots of plants add the texture needed for comfort and homeliness.
Keeping the palette and materials to a minimum give this small house a spacious, airy feel.

A 1950's house in need of modernisation to create a contemporary place to live.

Welcome to the hallway, where natural finishes set the stage for what lies ahead. The recycled cardboard lamp shades cast a warm, inviting glow over the stunning natural carpet. The choice of an off-white and black palette creates a smart and contemporary atmosphere, making this space both stylish and welcoming.

THE LIVING AREA
Adding an earthy colour to the palette from the hallway creates a warm space to unwind.
​The curves of the bespoke sofa and the chairs soften the rectangular room.
​Natural finishes in felt, wool and tweed continues the homely, eco feel.
​The bespoke cabinetry houses all the extras that you would find in the TV area.

THE KITCHEN AND DINING AREAS​
Keeping the same palette adds to the spacious feeling.
Natural finishes in leather, wood and linen voiles create a sense of well being.
THE BEDROOM​
Dark walls behind the headboard allow the lovely linen headboard to stand out.
The black wall lights are inobtrusive against the dark wall.
The addition of blue and yellow accessories was inspired by the wall paper.
THE WALK IN WARDROBE

The walk in wardrobe has smoked glass cabinetry and a marble topped dressing table creating a sense of luxury.
The dark brown walls make the space feel luxurious and warm and bring out the brown grain of the marble on the table
